Talking Jimi Hendrix - Maui, Hawaii 30-7-70 BOOTLEG DVD VERSION

    Okey,Hello everybody..

    This is my new project.
I collected all video stuff from that Hawaii concert and changed audio for better source.
And some places it look like Mitch Mitchell drums are out of synch but reason for that is cos Mitch over dubbed drum tracks in 1972...

There is another bootleg version of this concert which is longer than mine version but that "old" bootleg version have lots of surffing footage and others 60`s psychedelic stuff... and my version have only CONCERT parts...
so i think this is coolest version of this show.. !!!!

    Setlist :

    Spanish castle magic
    Hey baby
    In from the storm
    Foxy lady
    Hear my train comin`
    Voodoo child (slight return)
    Drum solo
    Fire
    Purple haze
    Dolly dagger
Villanova junction (ezy rider short clip)
    Instrumental

    42min

    I hope you like it

Actually the 'old bootleg' has the complete audio for the songs...that's why there is 'filler' footage used...yours is just assorted clips.

It says there are 10 seeds right now but somehow this torrent is not working. However, I have just successfully downloaded the torrent on the page quoted below for Love Field Dallas, on this same site so something funny going on with this one it seems.

Thanks for this. The quality on this is really good. This is really the same as Mike Parker's except without the non musical footage included. Mike did that so we would have sound for complete songs even where footage didn't exist and it was an absolute masterpiece. In fact the first time I saw Mike Parker's DVD I wanted to break and throw away any Rainbow Bridge media I had. Level heads prevailed and I didn't. Where this could have been differentiated is instead of using the official footage during parts of Voodoo Child to have used the raw collectors reel for all of that footage not just the stuff that wasn't on the official release. In Fact I would love to see Mike Parker make an "alternate" DVD where he only uses the collectors reel (where it exists) in those parts where he mixed the official footage in instead of the collectors reel footage.

When he found out the film was floundering, Jeffery brought in The Jimi Hendrix Experience to perform a concert to be included in the film on the side of the Haleakala volcano. Although Hendrix performed two full, fifty-minute sets for the taping, technical issues led to only 17 minutes of film being deemed usable for Rainbow Bridge. Even in those 17 usable minutes, the drum track was not properly recorded, so drummer Mitch Mitchell later overdubbed his parts at Electric Lady Studios in New York.

Hopefully "technical issues" are not too serious and much more unseen footage is available!

I'm a little confused by it being referred to as 16mm footage. The film was filmed in 35mm - all 43hrs of it. In the trailer and the VCSR footage you can see what are clearly two 35mm cameras rolling on the platforms behind the audience. Footage from those cameras in the trailer and VCSR are exceptionally clear and defined - stunning in fact. The on stage handheld camera looks like 16mm but the other two certainly are 35mm. Doesn't really matter of course but still bugs me.
